Easy blowing in all registers. This one is specifically for a bass trombone, which is larger than the standard trombone. This mute is very similar to the straight mute in that it will create a quieter, more muffled sound. Mostly used in jazz bands, the cup mute has a darker more subdued tone than the straight mute.
