This Wire Sliding Violin Mute slides onto the strings between the bridge, and the tailpiece allowing for easy placement and adjustment. Adjusting placement will result in a change in dynamics and timbre. It is a nickel-plated steel spring wrapped in a clear, flexible rubber tube.
